Team China had five players reaching the last 32 in singles events and five pairs proceeding to the doubles quarterfinals at the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals on Tuesday.
In the men's singles, Wang Chuqin beat Shunsuke Togami of Japan 4-1, and compatriot Lin Gaoyuan convincingly defeated Daniel Habesohn of Austria in straight games.
Previously on Monday, Fan Zhendong, Ma Long and Liang Jingkun had already secured their berths in the round of 32.
In the women's singles, Wang Yidi, Wang Manyu and Chen Xingtong reached the third round, joining teammates world No. 1 Sun Yingsha and Olympic gold medalist Chen Meng who advanced a day ago.
Both Wang Yidi and Wang Manyu took straight-game victories, respectively, from Maria Xiao of Spain and Hana Matelova of the Czech Republic. Chen bested against Singapore's Lee Zi-on 4-1.
Two pairs advanced in the men's doubles, including Fan Zhendong and Wang Chuqin, as well as Lin Gaoyuan and Lin Shidong.
In the mixed doubles, Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha joined young Chinese pair Lin Shidong and Kuai Man to reach the quarterfinals both in straight games.
The women's doubles event saw defending champions Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu outclassing Doo Hoi Kem and Zhu Chengzhu of Hong Kong, China 3-0.
