Markram on song for Titans

Aiden Markram was closing in on another 4-Day Domestic Series century as the Titans hit back on a rain-hit second day of their clash against the Cape Cobras in Centurion on Tuesday.

The Proteas batsman, fresh from back-to-back tons in the previous game against the Warriors, was unbeaten on 80 (123 balls, 13 fours) when afternoon thundershowers brought an end to proceedings more than 30 overs early at SuperSport Park.

The Titans, who were replying to a total of 411 by the visitors, eventually ended the day on 136 for one - trailing by 275.

Knights fight back on shortened Day 2

A century second-wicket stand between Matthew Kleinveldt and Raynard van Tonder helped the Knights fight back on a murky day two against the Dolphins in Durban.

The pair batted for more than 40 overs together as the central franchise reached stumps on 150 for two - a lead of 13 at Kingsmead.

Lions dominate Warriors

Wesley Marshall hit 48 as the Lions reached 125/3 at stumps in their second innings against the Warriors at the Wanderers.

Ryan Rickelton 32* and Wiaan Mulder 23* were at the crease at the hosts took a mammoth 396-run lead heading into the third day's play.
